Ninja Gaiden Theme

Ninja Gaiden (Σ) brought the series kicking and screaming onto modern consoles, and reintroduced gamers to crushing, unforgivable gameplay.

Full of hordes of enemy ninja and bloody, bloody action, Tecmo’s classic action game was faithfully updated as a 3D action game (the originals were all side-scrolling).

There were some drawbacks, though; the first boss was inordinately hard (mostly due to the low stats Ryu starts out with), and sometimes the camera was … inconveniently placed.

Those gripes didn’t detract too much from the game’s overall quality, though; sometimes you just want to play a mindless action game, and Ninja Gaiden delivers on that front quite well.
